Transitional Homes

Blessings From Above Ministries’ goal is to assist women into a new beginning, where true healing of mind, body, and spirit takes place. We mentor, teach discipline to women, help them develop skills, and strengthen their sobriety. Basic skills will be taught based on the three A’s, which are attitude, attention, and adjustment for our new beginners. We also promote self-esteem, help build confidence, and encourage each person.

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen. (1Peter 4:10-11)

Lend A Hand

We provide a lending hand to military families and local business owners in need. Military and civilian volunteers will be serving active military families while spouses are away. We will also help local businesses that are in need of simple repairs. To get more information, you must call 619-938-5883 to make an appointment.

The GOALS of the BFA Programs

  • To assist families during the transition of welfare reform, lost jobs, and in times of need
  • To assist navy and military families during difficult times
  • To provide spiritual guidance along with emergency food
  • To help children build self-esteem and develop a more balanced lifestyle in accordance with God’s Biblical Principles
